"Rierues" is the name of the area where the house stands. The house is an ancient Sardinian house, built in granite and with roofs made using the traditional technique called "incannicciato",on juniper rafters and sardinian tiles.
The house is situated in an isolated position and is divided into two homes, the low-side lying to the east and a higher-side lying West. The area, despite being very close to the center of Santa Maria Navarrese, is extremely quiet. The nearest homes are about two hundred and fifty meters, and the roads that are reaching the spot are not so busy (the last 300 meters are no asphalt road). Around the house there is a typically Mediterranean vegetation: oleanders, olive trees, junipers, lentiscus and Indian figs.
If you are looking for something different than mass-tourism situations, in the middle of Mediterranean atmosphere, cosy and good base to reach all the interesting spots of Ogliastra, "Rierues" could be the right choice for you!
